Attack of the "Fishmen" Assassins Where not all is as it seems and some unknown enemy stalks. Autumn 2,301 Meldigian Reckoning The party then returned to Dresden city to train and to also attempt to learn the powers of some of the magic that had been found in your adventures. Caldo contacted the Wizards Guild to help to identify the properties of some of the items. That very night the party is attacked in their rooms at the "Cloak and Dagger" Inn. the assassins are fishmen like those encountered before. One of them escapes into the river. You searched the dockside warehouse district in search of the assailant and find a open warehouse in this part of town considered off-limits after dusk. Through a trapdoor you find a basement pool like the one at Seaview and within is a fishman consulting with the magic user that Caldo had shown your magic items to at the Wizards Guild. A battle ensues which is soon joined by a group of apparent cult worshippers. The fishman escapes into the pool and through a underwater tunnel into the river. Within a underwater chamber , decorated in bas-relief with similar markings as those found on the amulet captured from the fishmen in Seaview, is found treasure and a scroll. This scroll is written by Lythanicus the Keeper, a high councilor of the City of Waterdeep who disappeared around twenty years ago. The scroll speaks of a treasure of great value to be found by following a light in the desert to the south. With this the party heads south in search of treasure to pay off the large debts they have generated in Dresden City.
