The Chagmat Spiderfolk of Little Boy Mountain

Where the virgins are saved, a secret fortress is found and a bloody reunion is had.

Summer 2,301 Meldigian Reckoning

The party then returned to Dresden city where they later heard that work may be found at the nearby village of Byr. A new companion joins the party and they travel to Byr where they discover that some village maidens had been kidnapped by hobgoblins. An old warrior in the village believes it to be the work of the Chagmat, a spider folk driven from the land decades ago.

The next day the party’s rescue plans are disrupted by the theft of some of their magical goods and the disappearance of the new companion. He is tracked to Dresden City and on the way the party chances upon Acorak and Ankara traveling to Dresden also. They have being serving as mercenaries to the north battling humanoids and recently defeated a major encampment in the north of the Hills of Mist. The humanoids were based in a secret ravine accessed by a hidden tunnel from the rear of a box canyon. A powerful orcish chieftain ruled this tribe hidden in an underground complex in the walls of the ravine. Unfortunately the reunion of the party rekindles old rivalries and Peter and Darren's ex characters foolishly took on two experienced swordsman and were slain.

The party decides to return to Byr where they are joined by two adventurers who had also traveled here after hearing the same rumour as the party. (Chutikik and Swift Sword) This pair you learn also hale from Pyre and had left only months before it's fall in search of adventure. They have been acting as caravan guards between Meldigia and Stonefist.

The party then traces the hobgoblin raiding party to a local landmark, "little boy mountain". The party explores various caves whilst traveling a trail on the side of the mountain and discovers a secret entrance to a complex tunneled within the mountain. Within are hobgoblin mercenaries employed by the Chagmat who did indeed have the maidens held captive. The complex was entered via a secret door which accesses a stone bridge crossing a deep crevasse within the mountain. An excavated complex laid out like a spider web was found beneath which a complex system of tunnels and caves existed. These descended deep into the roots of the mountain and were never fully explored. Within the upper chambers of the complex existed a teleport system to the lower caves which the party learnt how to use. The party, though realising that this could be made into a tremendous base given its secret and secure location and being less than two days ride from Dresden City, have yet to take advantage of it.
